Our Approach

First we listen, and then we will work with you to come up with ideas that will help you achieve your goals. The goals we set will be effective, realistic, simple, and practical. They will fit your lifestyle, medical history, and preferences, and we will be with you every step of the way to help you put these goals into action. Tom’s practice as a Dietitian is very much influenced by his personality. He likes to connect with people and think practically how food fits into their lives. Tom’s not a foodie, so has plenty of tricks up his sleeve to make healthy food as easy as possible.

Tom see’s a wide range of clients and can help with weight management, sports nutrition (recreational & elite), children’s health & family nutrition, heart health, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes.

About Tom

Tom has 9 years experience as a NZ Registered Dietitian, and has worked throughout New Zealand, and in the UK.  He has specialised in diabetes and sports nutrition, and loves helping people achieve their goals.

Tom is a classic weekend warrior, he has played most sports available in NZ, and loves being in the outdoors.  If he is not with his young family, you will find him surfing or running.  In the past he trained his arse off and ran a sub 3hr marathon, which combined with his theoretical training gave him a real understanding of endurance nutrition.
