- 2 x National Age group BMX Champion
My name is Tyla Dinsdale, I’m 14 years old. I’m a proud student at Whangarei Boys High. I have been involved in BMX racing since the age of three. I am a very active person and have enjoyed every minute of being a part of the M3 programme.
Over the years of racing I’ve accomplished some big titles such as National Champ twice and multiple North Island. In 2019 I was honoured to represent New Zealand in a four man team to head over to Australia and challenge the Australian team. That would be one of my biggest highlight over my years of racing to date. Outside of the BMX season I stay active by captaining the Tikipunga 14th Grade. Earlier this year I was selected for the U14 Northland Soccer team as the reserve goalkeeper.
Earlier this year I unfortunately had a big crash, which resulted in a broken collarbone. I am currently back to full health thanks to the assistance from the M3 team. I have been assisted with Physio sessions for my rehab and sessions to gain my strength back. We are currently working on the overall strength and fitness for the upcoming BMX season.
My current goals with BMX racing is to improve my current rankings and progress into the elite race groups.
I’m looking forward to smashing more goals with the M3 team in the oncoming season.
I am excited to continue to work with the M3 team and smash some more of my goals.
- 3x NZ Strongest Man
- 2x Worlds Strongest Man competitor
My chosen sport of strongman requires me to lift, carry drag and run with ridiculously heavy objects fast as possible. With these demands pain and injury is something I am familiar with.
Working with the M3 physios and Melita for massage has allowed me to have one of my best competition years to date. Melitas combination of anatomy knowledge and years of massage experience has been integral in getting me through my heavy and high volume training blocks. We’ve been able to stay on top of tightness and tension that’s almost unavoidable when pushing the limits for performance. Likewise the physios have helped me rehab various injuries major and minor.
The M3 physios have a fantastic understanding of what it is to be an athlete. They enable me to continue training around my injuries. Avoiding excessive downtime so I can keep improving as an athlete overall.
